Tenon Door and Drawer Front Construction
These tenon-style cabinet doors and drawer fronts are constructed without the use of metal pins. Solid wood center panels are installed with rubber spacers, allowing for natural expansion and contraction due to changes in temperature or humidity. Plywood panels, which are structurally stable, are glued on all four sides to prevent any future vibration.
Standard Thickness
All tenon doors and drawer fronts are constructed to a consistent thickness of 0.8” (20mm).
Grain Direction
Cabinet doors: Vertical grain is the default.
Grain direction does not apply to Paint Grade Maple with HDF center panels.

- Doors over 24” width include a vertical center stile
- Doors over 48” width include two vertical center stiles

FAQs:
Are Shaker-style doors outdated?
No. Their clean, minimal design continues to be a versatile and enduring option that fits both modern and farmhouse interiors.
What’s the difference between a Shaker and a slab door?
Shaker doors have a recessed center panel with a frame. Slab doors are flat and frameless. The difference is largely aesthetic — Shaker doors offer a more dimensional, traditional appearance.
Are Shaker doors expensive?
Solid wood Shaker doors are an investment in quality and longevity, but more affordable options like veneered or maple versions are available for cost-conscious projects.
