Guitar Stand Solid Walnut: Kompsos

κομψός (kompsós), Greek for elegant. Premium walnut with maple accent, this guitar stand not only looks great in any setting the design has a surprisingly low center of gravity and can hold any guitar size and shape. A guitar stand has more than just the function of holding your instrument. It should have the same quality of proportion, balance and beauty as your instrument does. The design of this stand was a process fo taking all the knowledge of the golden ratio and tried and tested design principles and incorporating them into this singular object. The guitar stand had to balance and hold the weight of an acoustic and electric guitar, it also had to accommodate the wider necks of a classical guitar. Finally it had to look great holding every style of guitar. Each guitar stand begins its life as hand-picked rough lumber. We craft each stand by carefully picking out grain patterns for each section of the guitar stand. Wood is milled and sized at our shop in San Luis Obispo on Central Coast of California. From there we go through a number of steps to make sure that each guitar stand is cut, shaped and finished to perfection while maintaining the character and natural beauty of the wood grain.
